World Philatelic Exhibition | Portu...Only three major International Philatelic Exhibitions have taken place in Portugal since 1910, the year in which the Republic was established: PORTUGAL 1953; PORTUGAL 1998; and LUBRAPEX 2003. In 2010, the Portuguese Post Office and the Portuguese Philatelic Federation will renew their century-old association by inviting all philatelists and stamp collectors, stamp dealers and everyone generally interested in philately throughout the world, to set aside a few days at the beginning of October to visit Portugal and contribute to the success of PORTUGAL 2010 -- World Philatelic Exhibition. The die is cast: the event is being held under the patronage of the International Philatelic Federation, which has decided to hold its Congress to coincide with Portugal 2010.
